LESLIE DELA VEGA

Leslie began visiting Asbury Park, New Jersey in 2000, drawn to its quiet atmosphere, weathered architecture, and faded coastal palette. There was a sense of stillness, but also of change—the kind that signals something is about to disappear. Many of the buildings, though worn and neglected, carried a distinct beauty and history she knew would not endure for long.

As the city evolved and longtime residents began to move on, she felt compelled to document these spaces. This body of work is an effort to preserve what was once there—to hold onto the character, memory, and history of Asbury Park before it was transformed.

Let me know what you think!
